Troubleshooting Guide

Solutions to common issues and problems.

Extension Not Working

If the Chrome extension isn't functioning properly:

1. Check if it's enabled: Go to chrome://extensions and ensure ColdDMs Pro is toggled on

2. Refresh the extension: Click the refresh icon on the extensions page

3. Clear cache: Clear browser cache and cookies, then restart Chrome

4. Reinstall: Remove and reinstall the extension from the dashboard

5. Check permissions: Ensure all required permissions are granted

Messages Not Sending

If DMs aren't being delivered:

- Verify your account is logged in on Instagram/X

- Check if you've hit daily sending limits

- Look for any account restrictions or warnings on the platform

- Ensure the campaign is active and scheduled correctly

- Check your internet connection

- Try sending a manual DM to test if your account can send

Account Logged Out

If accounts keep logging out:

1. Re-log into the account through the extension

2. Complete any security challenges (verify phone, etc.)

3. Enable "Remember me" when logging in

4. Don't log into the same account in multiple places

5. Consider using anti-detect browser for persistent sessions

Action Blocked / Restricted

If Instagram shows "Action Blocked" or similar:

1. Stop all automation immediately for 24-48 hours

2. Don't try to send manual DMs during the restriction

3. Verify your account if prompted (phone, email, selfie)

4. Wait it out - most restrictions lift within 24-48 hours

5. When resuming, start with much lower volume

6. Review your settings - you probably sent too fast

Low Response Rates

If you're not getting responses:

Check your messaging:

  • Is it personalized or generic?
  • Is the value proposition clear?
  • Is the CTA easy to answer?
  • Check your targeting:

  • Are you reaching the right audience?
  • Are the leads active on the platform?
  • Check your timing:

  • Are you sending during their active hours?
  • Are you sending too many to the same audience?
  • UniBox Not Showing Messages

    If messages aren't appearing in UniBox:

    1. Click the refresh button to reload conversations

    2. Check that the account is properly connected

    3. Verify the extension is running in the background

    4. Log out and back into your ColdDMs Pro account

    5. Clear browser cache and try again

    Campaign Not Starting

    If your campaign won't start or activate:

  • Ensure the campaign is set to "Active"
  • Verify the schedule includes current time
  • Check that leads are assigned to the campaign
  • Confirm the account is connected and logged in
  • Look for any error messages in campaign settings
  • Slow Performance

    If the extension or dashboard is slow:

    - Close unnecessary browser tabs

    - Restart your browser

    - Check if other extensions are conflicting

    - Clear browser cache and cookies

    - Ensure you have a stable internet connection

    - Try using Chrome (other browsers may be slower)
